Airports in Bulgaria

There are 4 operational airports in Bulgaria – Sofia, Plovdiv, Burgas and Varna. Every year these airports welcome millions of tourists and business travelers who wish to visit Bulgaria.


Sofia airport

Sofia airport is almost 70 years old and has always been undergoing renovation and updating in order to accommodate the huge passenger traffic. Now the airport has 2 terminals that are adjacent to each other.

Even though the terminals are not far away by car, we advise all our customers to check which their terminal is before landing so we can be at the right one waiting for them. Sofia airport boasts brilliant facilities amongst which is a very modern, comfortable and spacious VIP lounge. There is free Wi-Fi available at the airport.


Plovdiv airport

Plovdiv airport is located 10 kilometers away from the second biggest city in Bulgaria Plovdiv. Although not as big as Sofia airport, it is open all year round and welcomes visitors from different parts of the world. Plovdiv airport is preferred by the winter holiday makers as it is in very close proximity to some of the best ski resorts in Bulgaria. There are regular flights to London and Frankfurt all year round.


Burgas airport

Burgas airport is the second largest airport in Bulgaria. It welcomes millions of visitors every year. The airport is located approximately 10 kilometers from the center of the city. It is preferred by tourists who are flocking to the south sea resorts of the country. It is open all year round.


Varna airport

Varna airport is located 10 kilometers from the city center of the maritime capital of Bulgaria Varna. There are three terminals at the airport and it also welcomes millions of tourist who want to spend their holidays on the north coast of Bulgaria.
